Smart Station

The LifeSmart Smart Station is the core gateway of the LifeSmart platform. Every wireless device in the system - switches, sensors, curtain motors, thermostats, cameras and controllers - connects through it, and it is the component that makes the individual devices behave as one system rather than a collection of separate gadgets.

In practical terms the Smart Station is what allows a motion sensor in a corridor to trigger a light, a door contact to arm a scene, and a phone in another country to check and control the property. It is also the bridge to Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit, so voice control across the whole installation depends on it being present.

It is positioned for villas and larger apartments where stability across a wider floor area is the priority. On very large properties or where automation and alarm functions need to be combined, the DEFED Smart Station or DEFED Smart Station PRO are specified instead.
