The two panels people compare most often in LifeSmart projects are the Nature Mini and the Nature Mini Pro. They look similar on a spec sheet and they sit in the same place on the wall, so the question comes up on nearly every project we quote in the UAE and Oman.
What they have in common
Both are wall-mounted touch panels that fit standard UAE back boxes, control lighting, curtains, climate and scenes, and act as a room-level control point in the LifeSmart ecosystem. Both are managed from the LifeSmart app and both support voice control through Alexa and Google Assistant.
Where the Pro pulls ahead
- Larger, higher-resolution colour display — easier to read scene tiles and climate status from across a room
- Integrated thermostat variants, so one device replaces the switch plate and the AC controller
- A Power-over-Ethernet variant, which suits hotels and towers with a structured cabling backbone
- More room on screen for GRMS functions such as do-not-disturb and make-up-room
When the standard Nature Mini is the right call
For secondary bedrooms, corridors, service areas and budget-sensitive residential retrofits, the standard Nature Mini does the same job for less money. Specifying Pro panels everywhere is a common way to inflate a device schedule without improving the resident's experience.
How we usually specify it
On a typical Dubai villa we put a Nature Mini Pro in the living area and master suite, and standard Nature Minis elsewhere. On hotel projects the Pro with thermostat or PoE goes in the guest room, because it consolidates the thermostat, the scene panel and the GRMS interface into one wall plate.
As the first & main LifeSmart distributor for the UAE and Oman, Epsilon Wave Technologies holds both in stock in Dubai. Send us a floor plan and we will mark up which panel belongs in which room.
