Overview
The LifeSmart Household Gas Detector monitors for methane and natural gas leaks using a small-current gas sensing element with built-in temperature compensation, sounding an audio-visual alarm above 70dB and reporting wirelessly to the gateway when concentration exceeds 8% LEL. It mounts flush to the ceiling for a discreet installation.
This is the type of detector specified for kitchens on UAE gas connections and for hotel, apartment and villa kitchens where an early alert to a slow gas leak matters before it becomes dangerous or triggers a stronger smell. Power comes from a standard AC 100-240V mains supply rather than battery, so it does not require periodic battery changes.
Its ZigBee 3.0 radio gives an 80m open-field range to the nearest gateway, and a detected leak can be linked in the LifeSmart app to scenes such as switching off a smart gas valve, if fitted, or alerting a resident's phone immediately.
