Environmental Sensor (Gas/CO₂)

The LifeSmart Environmental Sensor is a combined gas and CO2 safety device that monitors natural gas, biogas and carbon dioxide levels and triggers a loud built-in alarm along with an app notification when concentrations exceed a safe threshold. It communicates over CoSS with a 200m open-field range.

For UAE and Oman kitchens fitted with gas cooking appliances, and for enclosed or basement rooms where CO2 can accumulate, this sensor gives an early warning before a resident might otherwise notice a leak or poor ventilation. It runs from a DC 5V power supply via micro USB, with a self-checking button so a homeowner can confirm the sensor is working correctly.

Because it reports over the same LifeSmart ecosystem as the rest of a villa or apartment's smart devices, a detected gas or CO2 event can also be used to trigger scenes, such as switching on extraction fans or notifying the DEFED alarm system if the property has one installed.
