DEFED Key Fob

The LifeSmart DEFED Key Fob is the physical remote for arming, disarming and triggering panic alerts on a DEFED alarm system, useful for residents who want a one-button way to control the alarm without opening the LifeSmart app. It reports to the DEFED Smart Station over an 800m open-field CoSS link and runs on a single CR2450 battery rated for up to ten years.

In UAE and Oman households, the key fob is typically issued to each adult resident and to household staff who need to arm or disarm the system on entry and exit, complementing app-based control for guests and family members who prefer their phone. It is small enough to carry on a keyring alongside a car or door key.

Because it uses the same CoSS radio as the rest of the DEFED range, the fob works reliably at the same distances as the DEFED Motion Sensor, Door/Window Sensor and Indoor Siren, so range is not a limiting factor even on larger villa plots.
