BLEND Switch PRO (Metal)

The LifeSmart BLEND Switch PRO (Metal) is a premium in-wall lighting switch finished in MacBook-grade anodized metal, aimed at villas, penthouses and hotel suites where the switch plate is part of the interior design rather than a hidden utility. It uses the same Crisp-Touch micro-switch mechanism as the standard BLEND range, giving a light, precise actuation with an audible click, and adds 16-million-colour LED backlighting behind a micro-pore diffuser for a soft, even glow around the keys.

Metal switch plates have historically been a weak point for wireless smart switches because metal shields radio signals. LifeSmart addresses this with its CoSS wireless protocol, engineered specifically to maintain reliable communication through metal escutcheons and gang plates, which matters in the marble-and-metal finish schedules common in high-end Dubai and Abu Dhabi residences.

It is available in red, gold, graphite and white finishes and installs in a standard 86mm back box, so it can generally be retrofitted into an existing lighting circuit without redesigning the wall box. Each channel handles a 500W resistive or 200W inductive/capacitive load, sufficient for LED downlights, pendant fittings and most residential circuits in a Gulf villa.
